Awhile back I came across a link to this post on Pinterest.
Printing on tissue paper...genius!
Since then I have made 2 projects using this method. I have plans to make more.
The first was done on canvas.
I used 2 layers of tissue paper for this project. The first layer was one of my favorite photos from our wedding. I edited the brightness and contrast in Word, I wanted to soften the picture so the second layer would stand out. I printed it on tissue paper then used (homemade) mod podge to adhere it to a canvas. The second layer of tissue paper is music from our first dance song. Once the first layer was dry, I brushed on more modge podge and attached the photo
Here is an up-close look. The tissue paper did bunch up, but I like how it turned out.
The second project was done on a piece of wood from my husband's scrap pile.
First I painted it white.
Then I printed this quote onto tissue paper. I used 2 sheets of paper since this board was longer and wider than my paper. I had to cut and arrange the words to where I wanted them. There were lots of areas that tissue paper didn't cover, so I just filled in those areas with blank tissue paper to give it a more complete look. The seams between the sheets of paper are hardly noticeable.
